Ages 18+
People start forming financial habits in childhood, yet most people are never taught important financial lessons and receive countless negative influences from family, peers, advertisers, and social influencers. Research has shown that financial habits start forming by age 9. It's important to mold positive financial lessons early in life, but it's never too late to start! The goal of the introductory course is to increase your knowledge of the financial basics to get on the right track and lay the foundation for good financial life habits aimed at improving the quality of your life. This introductory class will be "hands on" and cover the following topics: Understanding your monthly cash flow, how to build a budget, planning for emergency expenses, establishing credit, basic tools and calculators.
