A flower garden is the perfect project for spring. A combination of
patchwork, with some applique, will create a design of stylized blocks that evoke
flowers and leaves. Each week will include instruction for patchwork quilt blocks,
most using squares, rectangles and triangles. We will also learn to work with
diamonds, and create flowers using hexagons, to complete the fantasy. Applique
may be completed by machine, by hand or even fused. You may choose a smaller
or larger project. One design section will make a lovely wall quilt. Four of the
same sections will create a quilt about 60” square. With specific instruction in
class, you will sew at home using your own sewing machine.
You do not need to purchase fabrics before the first class, when we will
